There is a trendy restaurant somewhere under a bridge.
Very interesting....

Clarke Quay

Its nice to walk along the river on Clarke Quay. It doesn't seem to be a very busy place, at least not in the morning.
It might be at night time as lots of restaurants are located there.

Singapore China town

China town is not very big in Singapore but there are some nice shops.
Unfortunately it is impossible to bargain with the shop keepers which is so unusual as in China one has to bargain for absolutely everything.

Vivo Shopping center

A huge shopping center is on the other side of Sentosa island (on Singapore side). Its an unusual structure inside and out.

Sentosa Aquarium

There is an aquarium on the island and I think its worth a visit.
There is a giant octopus and my favorites, jelly fish. Of course there are plenty of other sea creatures but I lost all my photos....

Sentosa water structure

There is a weird and colourful water structure that leads up to a statue of the Merlion.
One can go inside of the Merlion and get to see the view of Singapore (which is currently a construction site as many hotels and casinos are being build.

The beach is very nice and lots of people are playing volleyball on the beach.

Sentosa island

Sentosa is an island right next to Singapore.
It is easy to get there by car, train or cable car. There are several beaches and lots of attractions. Unfortunately it started to rain shortly after we arrived at the beach.

Merlion

The Merlion is the symbol of Singapore. It is half fish and half lion.

Singapore

Traveled to Singapore in February and really enjoyed being back in the developed world. I heard lots of comments about Singapore being 'sterile', 'clean' etc.
What is wrong with a city being clean?
What is also nice is that almost everyone in Singapore is bi-lingual, speaking both English and Chinese.
